Normally, we take turns getting sick, so we're not all sick at the same time unless it's a long illness, and at least then we're not all at the worst part of the illness at the same time. I think that's a lot more common. Also, as your baby gets older, you won't have to cart her off to the doctor as much when she gets sick. Baby illnesses put everyone on alert much more than older-child illnesses. So my sick-child experiences have been a lot more like your fantasy than your experience was! In fact, I have had some moments that are just like your fantasy. (Although I have to admit that I wished Summer would sleep in her own bed instead of making me hold her all day long!)

Most of the time, when my experience isn't like your fantasy, it's because Summer isn't sick enough to be sleepy and snuggly all day, so she's just whiny and grumpy because she doesn't feel well. But you have an amazingly cheerful baby. I couldn't believe how content she seemed when she was sick! So maybe you'll dodge most of the whiny and grumpy stuff with her... but unless she's your only child, I'm sure you'll have to deal with it eventually!Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10038597347405251733noreply@blogger.com
